Does having an expectation help you somehow? YES..........I invest because I can see my expectation aligning with company's growth and expectations. This keeps me focused on my investment
If you had an optimistic expectation and it fell short of that price in a year's time would you sell? NO because continual reevaluation of my investment is a "have-to." This could take some time as you suggest before BP TO bid comes along
I will invest and no longer interested in trading........a longish term hold os on the cards
