You only need caution if you have the funds and intention to buy.
For the rest of us we'll just watch the market action and try not to get our "hopes" up too much.
Funny thing the market. I once ignited a rally in a stock that lasted months simply by buying a very large parcel of shares causing FOMO. Lets see what today brings. As you say, we need some confirmation.
