Ukraine is not in NATO therefore there is no obligation
On the other hand Ukraine borders were not established by any binding treaties
Ukraine finished under Russian Imperial rule because it requested Russian Tzar protection, at the time of going under Russian rule it had much smaller territory which was only enlarged by bolsheviks
They should leave with what they came with and there should be no reason for armed struggle
