What do you mean what is my point, that the oldest banking house in England was about to go into non family directorship for the first time in its two century history and Sir Peter Baring let a plasterers son from Watford blow his family name sake to smithereens to be finally shot of the loss producing bank that was dragging down his retirement plans!
Apparently he still rides the tube into the city every few days to do some part time figure head work at his old offices that is now mainly used as a loss making specialists charity fund manager under ING, the silly senile old goat.
