I know you've been around this one a long time, surprised you you not active right now.

Agree with all your possible explanations for yesterday's action - hard to pick which it is (or even more than one)

My take is that it's either something or nothing.

Nothing would be that a handful of people decided before the break to grab some insurance in case there were significant developments that they might not be in a position to react to - minimal risk at current prices.

Something would be a handful of people (maybe only 1 or 2) who know something big is about to land, and it would need to be more than Nasdaq IMHO, because that's pretty much a known probability. The volume yesterday sways me toward it being someting. If this is the case expect an announcement or TH before trade today.

If it's nothing expect it to quietly go back to sleep again.
If it's something - HANG ON!
