Given the abandonment costs COE already has, doubt the regulator would allow COE to acquire the assets after the government got shafted on the Northern Endeavour / Laminaria / Coralina debacle. Then again, the Australian regulator is known world wide as a soft touch. Hence no gas reservation on the east coast, if you’ve got a potentially dud technology, test it in Australia (e.g. Prelude). Pretty much clueless.
