XPE and Hacking of IOT devices

So, it seems that the Internet disruption overnight was caused by malware attacking vulnerable IOT connected devices.  Without wishing to make light of the event - I imagine that XPE are well-placed to argue that this justifies some of their approach to IOT....

Jeff Jarmoc, head of security for global business service Salesforce, pointed out that internet infrastructure is supposed to be more robust.
"In a relatively short time we've taken a system built to resist destruction by nuclear weapons and made it vulnerable to toasters," he tweeted.
