Ok, I feel I need to comment here in regards to your comment about XPED positioning themselves to people who will license ADRC enabled devices.

As per MD's recent comments, even he is impressed with XPED RML. It is like nothing yet seen on the market, a new way of devices registering and describing themselves to its controller.
Obviously this isn't the only technology out there solving interoperability in the IOT space, though it is a large improvement on some of the current offerings and allows companies to streamline their process of manufacturing "things"
It also allows smaller companies that may not have the capacity behind them to design and manufacture a business model controller of their own to enable their product to connect and be controlled by. Simply use RML language to describe the way your thing operates to the controller and away you go.

XPED have a JV with Telink which is a massive supplier to chips to many large companies, and a foot in the door to the Chinese market. DR Sheng also sits on the board at XPED. That collaborated with complex semi conductor, even though small audio goods are currently the only thing produced enables large scale uptake of an ADRC enabled device aswell as the XPED app. Looking at this from a consumers point of view allows the XPED name to enter the subconscious.

XPED were working on a number of smaller projects before MD came on board and my understanding is he has put a lot of these on the back burner so they can focus on larger scale ventures to enable the best positioning as IOT becomes more popular to the overall market.

Porting ADRC software to the Telink, STM micro controller and Intel chipsets shows that the technology works, hence the big players allowing adaptation to their own chip models.

Going after companies to adapt and incorporate this technology into their business model is the hard part and needs to be marketed properly. Though, let's try and look at this through the eyes of a company trying to profit from utilising IOT and continuously trying to lower budget and increase profit. ADRC is a very viable option and is now being offered directly to companies that already utilise Intel chipsets at present.
What's even better is both Intel and XPED stand to make profit from licensing deals so it's a win win to both parties.

In regards to the Microsoft comments, Azure is a platform used by thousands and does not mean we are in partnership with Microsoft directly. Though, the XPED xerts business model was presented at a Microsoft partnership conference and to date we are still unsure of the possible behind the scene progress in regards to exploring commercially viable options that both XPED and Microsoft stand to profit from utilising Xerts. Time will tell!

    DYOR!
