Scarpa - your arguments are credible, but I see it a bit differently than you.
Imo, the revenue/profit projections are not all that important for a company at this stage of the development life cycle in a massive emerging industry.
Much more important is the market's sentiment about how big and sustainable the emerging IoT market is and will be, its growth rate and whether or not Xped can achieve a lucrative foot print in it. That is the key. If that sentiment is positive - if we keep on getting announcements that support that sentiment - then the blue sky expectation of revenue down the track will be sufficient to maintain momentum (as it has thus far - getting us from 2.5c at the cap raising to where we are now).
Also, I don't see the chippie announcement as being THAT significant any more. You know, the grass is always greener on the other side. But I think we have plenty of 'green grass' now!
With Telink and Intel (not to mention JCT, Leapin and the others) we are immersed in it. We are, in fact, very close to our 'end-to-end' IoT aspiration. That is, we have the globally competitive Telink chip for the devices, Deb for managing and controlling the devices and (subject to Intel's verification) we will have the Gateways to gather and send all the data collected by the devices to the Cloud and Big Data Analytics. This latter is where most of the commercial potential in IoT lies - and we can part of it.
Sure, the additional chippie and the 'tech giant' will be great and will add substantial value but it is not that we are now just at the cusp and waiting for the 'Big One'. For those who can see, we already (almost) have the Big One in our Telink and Intel tie ups. All we need to confirm it is for Telink to confirm the successful embedding of adrc on the Telink chip, for Intel to verify the porting of adrc on Moon Island and for at least some of Intel's 12 Gateway OEM's (all huge companies - Netgear, Asus etc) to decide that adrc will add value to their Gateway design offerings!
But, of course, the additional chippie and the 'tech giant' have the potential to broaden and deepen Xped's success.
