I trialed a lot of potential platforms and went for Interactive Brokers which won easily and is great.
No fees if you regularly trade and only AU$6 per trade up to $7500 then 0.008% above that.
They have great tools including every kind of order, good charts etc. Only negative is it doesn't 'look' very modern. Fast trade execution on multiple exchanges is another bonus.
