The same thing that is wrong with the rest of the economy(banks, inflation, interest, debt, etc) they apply band-aids and/or pass the buck whilst brushing the crap under the carpet to try and keep the wheels in motion and avoid truth getting out and avoid total meltdown which in turn also saves themselves(government) from having to address the bigger issues at hand and potentially failing
