I see where you are coming from and I agree that blind optimism is just as bad as blind pessimism. However, I believe that the originator of the thread has done their research and has reason to be positive about the 'exciting times ahead'.
But yes, the optimism has to be based on real evidence to be useful or meaningful - as distinct from a meaningless ramp.
