Yeah cool. And you're right, it's not Xped. But more importantly it's not what Xped (ADRC) is trying to compete with.

Mal, you come out with the same questions and statements every few months and it shows that you just don't understand what ADRC does.

ADRC is a system for on-boarding devices (things) to an IOT network in a really dead simple (tap and connect) way. "Thread" is an IOT network or ecosystem, so ADRC would actually enhance a "Thread" network by streamlining the process of connecting all those lightbulbs, sensors, thermostats, aircons, fridges, door locks, etc, etc to the network.

Liken the ordinary device on-boarding procedure to check-in for an international economy flight. It's a real chore, you have to: get to the airport hours before take-off, line up for eons, wait, lug your bags all over the place, wait, fill out loads of forms, wait, worry that your bags are over the weight limit, negotiate for a better seat, have the check-in staff change shift right in the middle of your check-in, line up for security, get strip searched, pay $6.00 for a bottle of water, fight for a seat at the gate, then finally get on board.

If ADRC was an airline check-in procedure it would be the First-Class check-in procedure, i.e. everything that economy check-in is not.

There will be a stack load of IOT networking options out there in the coming years. But most, if not all, are likely to want to add ADRC as one of the first components of their systems.
