One saying for this entire post. "You have to invest money to make money."
I don't understand your problem with XPE investing a few million into a revenue producing entity that has a market footprint in which to wedge Xpeds products. "Oh noes, a spec stock is down 25% in a week!" You realise it has also risen by more than 30% in a week, right? The fluctuations mean absolutely nothing. Traction will take time, the share price is not going anywhere positive fast, but it's not that sort of stock. Spec stock SPs are almost purely motivated by announcements.
Should we not hear of an official vendor/partnership within the next two-three months i'll begin to reconsider my position. Till then, set and forget.
