It's simple..... since 2014 our 4 banks get hacked almost in a weekly basis...... it's a very serious issue now... and has been look at Canberra closely....
Most banks are on robust platforms but, I believe the introduction of hopeless wintel server within platforms have made so much easier to find a loop hole and vulnerabilities.
To be honest, it's almost impossible to stop it..... Telstra is having issues as well....
One of our Telecommunications issues is our own fault..... MONOPOLY.... letting it dominate here in wonderful OZ land.....
If we had more providers, we would have less chance of problems and could fail back on a back up system with another provider... but, no...... let's the government have the say and let the monopoly take over the country....like liquor stores, supermarkets, hardware stores, etc, etc, etc,........
no competition......
