I personally can't understand why anyone (excepting chartists) would have a go at predicting a share price - other than a sense of it going up or down - due to the high likelihood of being completely wrong (due to the large number of macro and micro unknowns, sentiment etc etc).
I can only think of two 'credible' reasons - winning a guessing competition or being anxious for it to reach the nominated price to meet pre-conceived entry and or exit strategies.
