The reason we have to join dots is that the major companies involved wont put out official statements to their client base until the new technology is available. Apple especially, are extremely secretive about where they are headed next. To someone like qf8 who claims to have a lot of industry knowledge it should be obvious that HomeKit would be very high on Telink's radar for licensing of ADRC, for example. We will not know what negotiations or approaches are happening behind the scenes until they are finalised or announced as an MOU.

I agree that anything is possible with regards to a potential hostile takeover. This is just a fact of business. But then the invader would have to be pretty silly to kill the goose that laid the golden egg. It's one thing to take over a company and control its patented technology. It's another thing to keep it in shape and honour the many agreements already signed.
