You wouldn't believe what people can get out of the NDIS. They don't advertise it much until your in it but I have known people to get, house cleaning,lawn mowing and houses washed as well as transport free if a person needs it. Anything reasonable that helps a person integrate into society and overcome the barriers to inclusion they will fund. I think the idea is to get as many people that can work doing it by removing barriers to productivity and social isolation.

I know a guy they bought hearing aids worth $12,000 because he was in it and had super bad hearing the normal ones pensioners get couldn't help.

You just have to look in a job advertising site like Seek to see the massive intake of staff by the service providers because they cant handle all the work from the funding coming in.

I have a bit to do with this through my job that's how I know. I have heard the service providers complain to me and ask for ideas where to get staff because they are so snowed under.
