    Extract from 2 June update

Xped has 5 core pieces of IP:

    (1) Tap
      - ADRC Device Proxy firmware for devices
      - Advantage of tap experience
      - Customer to accept ADRC proprietary comunication protocal
      - Market pressure  to allign with Zigbee, Zwave, Wifi, Bluetooth, hence
prioritised industrial opportunities with Vital Xense for full
    implementation of ADRC Device Proxy

    (2) RML

    (3) Xped App
    - unique, similar approach to a browser and extended to RML on phone, tabled and eventually, TV, PC or automated virtual assistant
    - Single APP that can display multiple different user interfaces and multiple
different user experiences for a device simply by changing the RML
       description
    -  App allows to add new devices, features and services without having to rewrite
       the App
    -  white labelled and can be customised

    (4)   Gateway Software
    - Addition to Xped's end-to-end platform strategy (with Xped Cloud Services)
    - Gateway Software allows Xped to integrate and support devices that do
    not
use the ADRC Device Proxy but still display them via RML in Xped
       App
    - first integration was the integration of Xped gateway software and Intel
    SHDAP.
    - First hardware to support Xped gateway software is IoT Gateway by Cybertan.
    - Approach for Lenze (single device connect with a custom APP specific to
       product)

    (5) Xped Cloud Services
    - Addition to Xped's end-to-end platform strategy (with Xped gateway
       software)
    - Allow direct 1:1 engagement between customer and users
    - creation of RML repository which stores the RML code for devices that
have not implemented our ADRC Device Proxy firmware

    - App to App integration which allows additional devices, services and features
via a cloud to cloud integration vs having to develop the features themselves
    - Eg Jemsoft Deep Learing AI + Xped Camera Manager + JCT Nucams solution
    - Allow integration with service providers ie Dominos, Uber, Amazon
    - Allow integration with device manufacturers ie Nest, Netatmo, Philips Hue
    - Original MOU with Microsoft (Xped cloud services solution hosted in
    Microsoft Azure Cloud)
    - First eg of Xped cloud services : Lightsview project + Lenze Smart Leads
       device launch

This is my understanding with Intel IoT Gateway and public clouds like AWS.

    https://software.intel.com/en-us/getting-started-with-intel-iot-gateways-and-iotdk

    Option 1

    ADRC device proxy firmware (Tap)
    +
    Xped App + RML
    +
private cloud (opportunities with Vital Xense [gateway built by Advantech]) with Intel® IoT Developer Kit version 3.5 (support for projects using Intel IoT Gateway)
    +
public cloud (AWS, Google, Microsoft Azure, IBM Watson )
    +
    Intel IoT Gateway

    Option 2

    Non-ADRC devices (No using Tap)
    +
    Xped App + RML
    +
Xped gateway software (Intel SHDAP has been integrated with Xped gateway software in June 2017 - 2 June announcement)(used on Intel-based gateway solutions by Cybertan, Advantech and Arcadyan)
    +
Xped cloud services (App to App integration)
    +
public cloud (AWS, Google, Microsoft Azure, IBM Watson )
    +
    Intel IoT Gateway

    Under 2nd June announcement

During the first 2 quarters of this calendar year, Xped has expended engineering resources and used external contractors to integrate the Xped gateway software with Intel's SHDAP. This development represents the first iteration of Xped's gateway software for the home. The combination of the Xped gateway software with the Smart Home Acceleration Platform will allow the Xped smart home APP to seamlessly onboard and control 100s of off-the-shelf devices that use WiFi, BLE, Zigbee and Z-wave protocols.

With both options available for both ADRC device and non-ADRC device, IMO, that's why the 2 June announcement says too, under Gateway Software and Cloud Services, "This is significant because now we can present ourselves as one, if not the only, solution in the market that has embrased the concept of an open-standards-based platform that allows our customers to maintain ownership of the data being generated by their customers."
