Here's an article from today's Fairfax publications on the Australian banks' battle to access the NFC on Apple devices.

I think anytime you try and cut into Apple's own revenue on their platform, your request will be swiftly shut down. It will be up to Xped to demonstrate the advantages of incorporating their technology in Apple's IOT solution, and proving it will increase revenue for them, before Apple will allow NFC to be available to the DEB App.
All IMO.
