Sorry this is off topic somewhat, but it is an interesting topic.

Personally speaking I think the law is an ass on this one.
If someone calls me on my phone and speaks to me, I should be allowed to record the conversation. I don't care what anyone else thinks.
I can write the conversation down word for word, but I can't record it. What an absurdity.
If someone doesn't want to be recorded on the phone by the person taking the call, then don't call them!
It is my *right* to record my calls that should be protected by law.
