Thanks for the link @aussiewebking.  I have come across Afero (mentioned in your link) the last few days elsewhere and looked at their website etc.  Seems like a mighty small chip and looks very similar to what Xped will be doing re Cloud destination etc.  

I tried the net the last few days for more information on this company also to see if they are on the share market but no show so far.  Does anyone know much about this technology and the company?  They have a bit online and are discussed on the www.fastcompany.com to name one area.  Their website is interesting as is their similar tech to Xped's.  What I am interested to know is, are they what VHS was to Beta-max in the same respect to the IoT?  Is there a chance these guys could get into phones etc. or products before we do?  Which is this is the case could wipe us.   Still doing my research and will continue to do so and happy to share if anything pops up.
