A lot of people don't get past the Gee Whiz tap to connect however the real trick is getting the industry to adopt RML (Resource Modelling Language) and RCP (Resource Control Protocol) as the standard. They are really simple, smart and open source.
Something Xped mention in their brochure is autonomous interaction between devices.
Xped have in fact designed a complete ecosystem which will be disruptive and universal.
Getting chips in things is only the start.
Keep an eye out for the word Predix. Predix is GE's offering in Asset Management software.It has clever analytics and will be where a lot of "Big Data" will be used in Industrial and Infrastructure areas. GE are investing big in IoT and want to be the software supplier of choice. Xped tech will be a great fit at the thing level to help this happen.
