    Dr. Soohong Daniel Park is with Software R&D Center in Samsung Electronics and currently serving Open Source Working Group in Open Interconnect Consortium as chairman. The interest of his research is internet, web, mobile network and open source. He is a member of W3C Advisory Board.

    Liaison Task Group ChairDavid McCall - Intel Corporation

    David McCall is a strategy and technology planner at Intel, working on communication frameworks for the Internet of Things. He has been a key part of Intel’s contributions to OIC from the beginning. David's first involvement with communication frameworks was over 6 years ago at a startup called Connectsoft, which Intel acquired in 2011. He gained his initial experience with both hardware and software aspects of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other wireless technologies at CSR, where his roles included product planning and running their PC business unit. David holds a Master’s degree in Electronics from the University of Edinburgh.

    Kim is a 21 year Intel Corporation veteran. She has held many positions in her Intel career, much of which has been focused on ensuring a variety of technologies gained market acceptance. Kim has held many Marketing Committee Work Group chair positions in the past as well as held various Board of Director positions.

    Olivier Carmona is Director of Business Development at AwoX, a company specialized in smart home. AwoX licenses network protocol stacks for consumer electronics, and designs products embedding those stacks: innovative light bulbs under AwoX brand, and hi-quality multi-room speaker under Cabasse brand. He has been with the company since 2005. In his role, he is responsible for AwoX’s standardization, and evangelism. Prior to which he run a mobile robotics startup. Carmona is a member of the Board of Directors for the Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA). Carmona holds a Master of Science in Electronic Engineering from Centrale Marseille.

    Mr. Jooyeol Lee is a distinguished standards expert as well as a leading innovative service layer standardization leader in Samsung Electronics. He has actively contributed and held leading roles in several service level standard bodies for more than 13 years such as Digital Living Network Alliance, Universal Plug and Play, Wi-Fi Alliance, Mobile Printing Alliance, and Car Connectivity. During the period, he chaired several working groups and made strategic decisions as a Board Director. He also led and coordinated among peer companies to form new alliances which required exact market analysis and technical differentiation.


    Standards Core Framework Task Group Vice ChairKiran Vedula - Samsung Electronics

    Kiran Vedula is a Senior Technical Manager in the Advanced Research Team at Samsung Electronics. At Samsung he is driving convergence standards strategy and technology enabling activities. He is an active contributor to various standards fora including oneM2M, OIC, UPnP Forum, Wi-Fi Alliance and CCC. His responsibilities include architecting and standardization in the areas of Smart Home, Connected Car, IoT and M2M service layer. He has 12 years of experience in IT and Telecommunication industry. He holds a Master of Science degree in Software Systems from BITS Pilani, India. He is based in Bangalore, India.

    Brian is a technical security architect with 20+ years of experience in security intensive industries. Brian is accomplished at orchestrating both technology and opportunities to visualize new concepts and transition those ideas into services, products and patents. Brian has a proven record of leading and coordinating diverse teams (engineers, architects, professional services, business analysts, project managers, infrastructure specialists and data professionals) through organizational and technological change. Brian brings a thorough understanding of not only security, data and computer science, but also project management, financial and technical strategy, accountability and expanding organizational engagement. Brian is an effective communicator across teams, particularly with operational, financial and technical communities.

    Standards Security Task Group Vice ChairRon Ih - Atmel Corporation

    Ron manages Secure Products Marketing and Business Development at Atmel Corporation and has over 20 years of engineering and marketing experience in semiconductors, computer systems and security-related technology. Ron has helped bring a number of new technologies to market including the TMDS technology behind DVI and HDMI, and has worked in supporting functions with various standards groups including VESA, DVI, and USB-C. Ron has managed technical sales and product teams at Silicon Image and Sun Microsystems, and raised almost $1M for a startup venture. Ron has a business degree from Stanford University.


    Standards Smart Home Task Group ChairMark Trayer - Samsung Electronics

    Mark is Principal Research Engineer within the Samsung R&D team. Mark has spent the past 4 years on IoT focused activities, initially Smart Energy specific but broadening into more general Smart Home, other IoT Verticals and IoT enabling platforms and technologies. As part of his work scope he’s participated in Smart Home standards bodies, presented at Trade Shows, participated in multi-company activities with respect to developing common profiles for Smart Appliances and researched and created PoCs for potential new Smart Home technologies. Mark has also worked into various diverse standards groups including: UPnP, CEA, 3GPP, CableLabs (PacketCable and OpenCable), SIPForum, IETF etc. Mark is currently also the Samsung BoD representative for the Thread Group. Prior to joining Samsung, Mark spent 16 years working for Nortel in both the UK and the US.
