Charted on a log scale, XRF’s share price history lends itself to a pretty simple trend analysis.
Arguably the most important parameter is its overall +60% average annual capital growth rate, demonstrated by the trend channel established over the last six years. This aligns with fundamental growth in the business over that period.
That growth rate (+ franked dividend), while price remains above the lower limit of the channel, justifies a Hold without need for any trading concerns IMO. If it approaches the upper limit though, any breach of a medium-term trendline may require some thought. Breach of the lower limit of course would require a more serious decision.
Currently the SP appears to be nicely positioned relative to its historical long-term and medium-term movements.
