I think it is deliberately cheap to attract subscribers and market share. I would much rather more subscribers than more revenue per user at this stage - the whole game is about having first mover advantage. As the market becomes captive, prices will rise as they are beginning to in NZ, the most mature market.
Glad the you like the product. I read a few negative user reviews on the net, but that's bound to happen when you have 500000 customers
