Interesting announcement by XRO today relating to share price fall. The intrigue is that since the 16th June announcement, the shares have fallen EVERY DAY! XRO announcements seem deliberately vague at times, but assuming the customer numbers given are at end May 2014, then they have added 11,000 in Australia in 2 months and 3,000 in the UK. That's 1222/week in Australia and 333/week in UK. Last year's growth over the full year was 1115/week in Oz and 481/week in the UK. More pertinently, in the second half of FY14, XRO were adding UK customers at the rate of 650/week. That's a hell of a slowdown, temporary or otherwise, whereas the Australian growth rates are consistent with last year. The issue for the shares is that the market won't price NZ/Australian growth at anywhere near the price it would price growth in the US and UK markets. Looks like they've blown through circa $15million cash as well in 9 weeks. The UK and cash burn are probably why they're down 15% in six trading days. Having shorted these in the mid to high 30's, I am now square but wondering... The next few months are critical to show they are on a real upward trajectory in UK and US, but unless my interpretation is incorrect, and I acknowledge it is a very short time frame, the UK signs are not so hot.
