XRP is supposed to be for banks to do interbank transfers . However governments are starting to announce their intention of moving in on these areas . To date there have been a number of banks that Ripple has announced to be experimenting with it but each occassion I am aware of the banks have quietly dropped it no reason given.
There is a huge difference between a currency being divisable and more being printed. The difference is inflation devaluing the currency if more is printed while a currency being divisable is not in its self a cause of inflation . The AUD is divisable into cents at 100 cents per dollar this does not devalue the AUD .However government printing of more does The more dollars there are the less value each one is .All a currency being divisable does is make it more convenient to use for smaller purchases as the currency rises in value. Bitcoin is valued by supply and demand this drives traditional investors crazy as they want an intrinsic value to base decisions on
