xstrata closing brisbane coal office

Not "directly" related, but interesting to note Xstrata coal are closing their Brisbane office (from MIM takeover days) with the loss of around 100 jobs - so much for their commitment to the broader Qld coal industry, with the loss of important local management/planning positions etc.

Xstrata say it's not directly linked to the outlook for their proposed Wandoan coal mine development, but you can join the dots - at least 5yrs off in my opinion.
