Regarding your view of a potential suitor hoping to see the SP 50% less though, it then becomes a question of pure value! ie. If Xstrata leave it too long, and the SP hits 16c, then NKP not only looks more attractive to Xstrata, but also to a lot of other big boys as well!
I just can't see them wanting to give up the option of buying 50% of this resource, given that they are wanting to ramp up their own plantinum production in the future.
By the way, what happens to Xstrata's 50% option if NKP does receive a takeover offer from someone else? Anyone?
