If today ends red that will be 7 straight red days in a row.
In the last three years there have only been 4 occasions for which the SP has closed green or red for six or more consecutive days.
In Oct-Nov 2008 we had 7 straight green days for a total price increase of 19.5 cents
Late Nov 2008 we had 8 straight red days for total SP fall of 26.2 cents
In Dec08-Jan09 we had 6 straight green days for a total price increase of 8.4 cents
In June 2011 (the last 6 days) we have had 6 straight red days for total SP fall of 7.5 cents
The other three streaks were all at time of GFC and its immediate aftermath.
What chance another red day today? Surely it has done its dash? Seven straight reds in the current environment with no bad news release? Surely not????
