Good ASX company boards, set themselves apart from other not so good ASX companies, because they always communicate clearly and regularly with their shareholders who are the owners of those companies.

Good companies also promote a reliable and effective management team's performance as it goes about executing the board's strategy to get the results from the objectives set down as deliverables in line with timetables and budgets.

Good board and management teams do this to promote their company and in doing so to maintain the support from the shareholders, the brokers, investment funds, local regulators and government departments who are always watching to keep an eye on the integrity of individuals on the board and the leaders of the management teams. They want to know they can be relied upon.

John Featherby the XTC chairman, has a good name and hard won reputation which I'm sure he is keen to retain.

It will be interesting to see which way this company goes from here on.
