On a takeover, we would know pretty quickly because there would be an ASX announcement on that first 5% and/or shareholders would be receiving a letter.
With the price having been driven down by a lower than expected royalty announcement and then further by a false statement by Peter Cook, are shareholders getting primed for a lower than expected takeover bid? It could not be that blatant - surely.
Either way, the question is, would the majority of bashed shareholders accept a bid that was under $2? I sure as hell wouldn't.
I think there is a pretty good spread of small shareholders. Can anyone clarify the approx spread? I know Hunter Hall has/had just over 20%. What approx percentage do Directors and their interests own? What approx does that leave in the balance?
