The key to the value here is the end customer. So as long as they are still onboard, a telco will almost certainly want to be in this.
It's different if there was no end customer. Then it becomes much harder to get a telco to take an interest. But with A$120 million on the table... sales execs would be all over this for a piece of the pie. Whoever canned the deal at AT&T is probably unemployed now.
