re: the rotten corpse of left hypocrisy. Yes there can no denying the Jews enjoy a strong presence within the US community and therefor in Govt.
But it is also worthwhile mentioning that the US govt has put considerable pressure on Sharon to quash areas of jewish settlement and hand back to the Palistinians.That Sharon is currently embarking on a number of other iniatives that will ultimately favour the Palistinians sugests to me that the US govt is influencing Sharon in a positive way.
That and the fact that in Israel there are tens of thousands that recognise the palistinans deserve a far better deal than they have received in the past.
Interesting to note that over 15,000 jews marched in protest against the hardlne policies of Sharon.
There is no way Sharon would have considered such a backflip without the growing disenchantment with his govt.
