Unfortunately, recorded shorts for YAL as at 7th November were only 0.67%.
As one who measures their wealth by current share prices I can understand your angst when prices decline and your desire to appropriate a cause. I take the opposite position and see price declines as increasing the safety margin between price and value. Such opportunities enable investors to increase their wealth by accumulating more stock.
Investors know how to value a stock and understand that the business performance creates the value, while the price creates the opportunity. It might take years for the price to catch up or get close to the value, but those who lack patience are better off confining their gambling to horses and casino's.
We must thank the WOKE brigade and naive socialist politicians for providing us with the opportunity to acquire YAL and other coal stocks at such deep discounts to their value. If their is any truth in the notion "go woke go broke", then the adverse: "wake up and prosper" must also be true.
