Dam newcastle coal price dropping further.
This is the problem when trying to buy shares at high points in the commodity cycle. The buy logic is premised on the coal price staying at cyclical highs.
I had to cut my position 70% this morning. Risk vs return. Return stacked up so nicely so long as coal prices stayed high. With coal prices declining then risk increases.
Feel more comfortable with my remaining 30%, position quite small in the portfolio.
