As good as Gruyere is, it is only a small part of what GOR holds across more than 5000sqkm of Australia's hottest new gold province which has been compared to the new Kalgoorlie.
With the gold price taking centre stage and further strong gains anticipated this year, the opportunity for one of the gold majors to take control of this whole region could become irresistible.
Newcrest market cap has now increased to $20b plus and could probably take the whole thing (including GOR $100m cash) for less than 50m NCM shares, equating to approximately $1.50 - $1.60 per GOR share.
That said, it will be worth many times more than that for GOR to hold on and develop in their own right.
Either way you look at it , the upside is substantial.
