" this U/Th will be interesting with Iluka / Lynas if they can deal with the insane Australian Goverment U/Th handling and disposal blockades that they must overcome for Monazite processing in australia."... fair to say that ILU and LYC got in under WA's more pragmatic acceptance of some U&Th waste (very low risk and acceptable environmental cost int he scheme of things imo). Now the Fed government under Plibersek has put a Federal EPA department over the top of state EPAs for control and power grab as Feds do, I wonder if another such application would be approved? The Fed's are based over east, run by politicians over east, kowtow to inner city woke folk over east etc... but then again, we stumping up for nuclear subs so maybe the zeitgeist is changing?
Definitively wandering off topic here, Yangi U&Th is orders of magnitude lower than min sand monazite and won't be a problem for approvals. Most of the min sand monazite will continue to look for Chinese off-takes imo, given they also desperately want REO to feed their RE-magnet machine and don't have the same worries about storing U7Th in a small hole in the middle of nowhere if that's what it takes.
