    Reading between the lines it appears this has more to do with people's insecurities more than anything else. These scientists are being left out and they don't like it.
    As with many scientific endeavours the science takes a back seat to personalities and egos.
    Many scientists whilst obviously clever and intelligent can also be extremely childish.
