yeah, the phone call scared the crap out of my wife. it's all automated now. she got that at 10pm last night. lovely little bedtime story.

army are trying to evacuate everyone. they're knocking on doors, forcibly evacuating apparently. not sure how they do that, but the beaches are being evacuated apparently.

it will last about 22 hours, which is exceedingly bad as that gives her more time for destruction of life and property.
