Its all a bit of a dilemma Pinto. Do you advise the young to buy a cruddy little home on the outskirts of the city which will not sell well when the time comes to upgrade or bite the bullet and get a home close to what they want , close to where they want and not have to move for 10 -15 years.
With todays ridiculous selling costs and especially stamp duties etc its making a stronger case to stay put, have a higher mortgage ,pay it off as quick as possible, renovate rather than move etc etc. Not as simple as it use to be for the boomers when taxes were lower.
