Long term it's probably one of the better moves that they could have made. Short term, I'd expect it to be sold down a bit - if not immediately, then at least after the shares are issued. If the SP stays higher than the offer price, people will see it as an opportunity for a quick profit.
It depends if anything else promising happens in the meantime to boost interest and the price, and to make people not want to sell.
