Exactly Nobbylad, so what happens to holders of the stock who are not able to lend and charge a fee and in effect partially hedge against the fall? These are the guys screwed by short selling, and the more they are screwed they more they sell and so down down down we go. The current environment is no doubt aiding the panic and the short sellers profits.
