All the downstream industries are outside Malaysia, as all Lynas' products are exported. I think you all need to take a step back and have a good hard think about this. 

For 600 jobs, Malaysia has to accept an ever increasing mountain of waste, of which the safety of dispersing it is still very much debatable, and so all the risks of disposal lies with Malaysians, whereas the profit benefits Aussies, and downstream industries benefits Japanese and Chinese. Mind you, the debate on internal emitters is centred on events in UK and France, not some obscure 3rd world country. Any sane person would find that arrangement highly objectionable. If you think Mahathir will side with Lynas, then you need to study him closely. Mahathir is first and foremost a nationalist. Country comes first before foreign interests.
