A seat of the pants calculation.  Lynas currently has   400M in revenue.     Letssay that 25 %  goes back to AU for expenses there.  That leaves 300Mspent in Malaysia.     In US the number of turns for corporate revenue into realized  salary is 1.8 / year  ( the  US government is 0.9)   Poorer countries usually have  a higher multiple so lets use 2 that is $600M  divide 4, 000 that’s $150,000 in salary contribution to the Malaysian economy.  Now I am sure some vendors move money out of country stopping the recycling but salaries are allot lower.   So just doing some  quick calculations I think the number is 2X higher.     Not saying 4,000 is wrong just that it feels  low.  Way too many variables to say it is wrong.
