Its a good thing you dont often talk politics because that was a seriously poor post. Of course its an easy way to get thumbs up by bagging out Gillard without specifically saying what your issue is. Look at your post T4P! Not one specific. A broad "management" problem tells us nothing but draws little green thumbs out easily enough because people are frightened and constantly misinformed and under educated in this and most countries.
Your contention that we were in a strong position come GFC 1 and that the spending measurements hurt us is a furfy. What would you be saying now if instead of that they took the only other road and committed to austerity? We'd be travelling at 10 of percent unemployment without question and the housing market would be cascading. The spending cut job losses. That is a fact. There is always waste with spending. Fact. Spending had to initiated immediately, before waste prevention measures could be thoroughly studied. This is the whole point of a surplus anyway. Conservatives treat countries like a business which must run at a profit but that is not democracy!! For the people.
Then there's your disingenuous cry for the environment whilst at the same time labeling the mining/carbon tax a blind ideology?! The facts are the mining industry pumps gdp and then pumps that money off shore. It is a small contributor to employment and a massive strain on our environment and inflation. It is an idea born from an intensive apolitical study into reform and it is the only way, to bring in genuine conservation and retain the earnings from the one way street that is out resource base.
There is no point tearing down an idea without replacing it with another. Leave that to Abbot. If you want to write a serious post on politics you have to profer an alternative and be incisive with what policy you perceive as damaging.
