alot of folks are saying that the banks would have shut BNB by now if they wanted to. but banks are run by people and people can change their mind.
i could never work out why george bush snr didn't invade iraq/take baghdad. he weighed up the risk v reward, there would have many reasons to do it and many not to. he chose not to. fast forward 12 years, and the bush establishment had changed its mind.
It is comforting for BNB holders that the banks had the perfect opportunity to shut down babcock but did not (same as george bush snr at end of gulf war I). Doesn't mean the decision is final.
