'''ll accept the fruits of the spirit as forming part of the definition but love is way more. It's a sacrifice. Love is giving of yourself, not seeking for yourself. Love, the feelings we have, for a child is different to love for a wife.''

What you say has no bearing on what the bible says about love and the explanation of love that the bible itself gives. You are merely offering your personal view.

Plus what the bible itself describes as being the nature of love is clearly contradicted by what the bible itself says about the nature of its God, hence the clear contradiction between God described in terms of love and the bible's own description of love.....which has nothing to do with me or what I may or may not happen to believe.

''Saying God is love Is meaningless for someone who doesn't know God.''

I don't say it. The bible itself is saying it. I quoted directly from bible verse, adding nothing of my own. You claim to know God, but it is clear that you don't know what is in your bible, its history or development.
