governments are intrusive they grow bigger wanting to control even the minutiae of society
one of the reasons for the strange gun culture in the States is this push back against big government and their ever growing control.
as for marriage we are instructed to follow the government protocols of the day unfortunately when God passes judgement on society he will send corrupt judges and governments and simply removes his hand of grace and restraint.
fallen man gladly takes over from that point going forward which is in reality backwards.
